Adult Sunday School
Adult Sunday School classes provide a small group atmosphere where long term friendships can be developed, and where we learn how to apply Biblical principles to our daily lives. Below you will find a list of current classes. For more information on Sunday school classes, home based small groups, or the Life Development Process (which is explained in its own brochure) please contact our Director of Connectional Ministries, Eric Light, at 238-9216.

Prodigal Class – 9:30 a.m.
Worship Center #203
This class is made up predominantly of adults ages 35 to 55. The class features a topical discussion oriented Bible study with an emphasis on how the scripture affects us today. Dewey Howard brings year's of ministry experience as a United Methodist Pastor to his insightful Bible teaching.

Upper Room – 9:30 a.m.
Conference Room, Admin. Bldg.
This class of varied ages tends to study specific books of the Bible in depth, blending lecture with class participation. A high value is placed on class members caring for one another’s needs. Both family and adult only socials encourage the development of more intimate friendships within the class.

Watts Class – 11:00 a.m.
Room 204- Worship Center
This is an adult class comprised of mostly empty nesters that explores a variety of topics including Bible study, contemporary issues from a biblical perspective, and living a Christian life in our community and in our own families. This class maintains a close relationship with each other and has several social activities throughout the year.

Sisters & Daughters Class – 9:30 a.m.
Room 200- Worship Center
This is an adult class targeted to meet the needs of women. This class offers support, encouragement, and Biblical answers to pressing issues facing women today.
Led by: Sherry Howard and Dixie Terning
Pairs and Spares – 8:30 a.m.
Room 203- Worship Center
This adult class has a mix of ages and studies the Bible in an expository method, with participation by class members. Members within the class take ministry seriously and care for the needs of their fellow members.
Led by: Steve Wolfe
Brewster-Sherard – 11:00 a.m.
Room 101, Educational Building
Comprised of senior adults, this class studies the Adult Bible Study Series of the United Methodist Church to enlighten and deepen personal faith. Members support each other through life’s difficulties and socialize regularly in member’s homes.
Led by: JoAnn Wrinkle and Ed Gleason
Discovery Class – 9:30 a.m.
Room 202- Worship Center
Comprised primarily of adults (35-50), this class seeks to experience Christian community while helping each other wrestle with what it means to follow Jesus in today's world. We're up for lots of laughs, a few tears, and a healthy dose of discussion. Led by: Eric Light
Foundations for Life Class - 9:30 a.m.
Room 201- Worship Center
Designed for young couples and singles, this class features Bible study and topical discussion related to marriage, faith, and family. Led by: Rev. Joel Kailing; Keving & Jessica Bowling.
